It is long , 10 days, 9 nights tour, starting and finishing in Ljubljana, Slovenia. We will cross 7 countries - Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Monte negro, Albania, Macedonia and Serbia. The Adriatic highway is a road that stretches along the eastern coast of the Adriatic sea. It runs from Slovenian border, through Croatia, Bosnia and stops in Monte negro at border with Albania. It is 800km of gorgeous coastline just a few meters from beautiful water of Adriatic sea. There are thousands of small bays we will navigate, maybe stop and take a swim.
DAY 1 - 200Km
from Ljubljana to Pula
Tour starts in Ljubljana . Our first stop will be castle Socerb, which was built in 14th century. It has great view over bay of Trieste, Italy and bay of Koper, Slovenia. From there we will continue through cities on Slovenian coast. After border crossing to Croatia we will ride along seaside to Pula, where we will spend the night. Along the way there is a lot of interesting villages we can check!
DAY 2 - 330Km
from Pula to Zadar
We will leave Istria and start riding along the Adriatic highway which will take us through northern part of Adriatic sea called Kvarner. We will spend a night in Zadar, which is the oldest continuously inhabited Croatian city.
DAY 3 - 160Km
From Zadar to Split
We will again ride along the coastline and enter Dalmatia region. We will spend the night in Split. It is largest coastal city in Croatia. Home to Diocletian's Palace, built for the Roman emperor in AD 305, the city was founded as the Greek colony of Aspálathos in the 3rd or 2nd century BC.
DAY 4 - 215Km
from Split to Dubrovnik
We will continue our way along the coast and after a while leave Croatia and enter Bosnia and Herzegovina. We will stop in single coastal Bosnian city Neum. After only 9 kilometers we will enter Croatia again. We will spend the night in Dubrovnik. It is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Mediterranean Sea. In 1979, the city of Dubrovnik joined the UNESCO list of World Heritage sites. The walls of Dubrovnik have also been a popular filming location for the fictional city of King's Landing in the television series Game of thrones.
DAY 5 - 156Km
From Dubrovnik to Ulcinj
After short time we will exit Croatia and enter Monte negro, where we will find the bay of Kotor. The bay is about 28 kilometers long with a shoreline extending 107.3 kilometers. We can circumnavigate the bay or we can take the 3 minutes ferry across it. At the end of the day we will arrive in Ulcinj.
DAY 6 - 320Km
from Ulcinj to Skopje
We will leave Montenegro and enter Albania. After decades of isolation, when the communist system collapsed in 1990, Albania rediscovered foreign policy and began to develop closer ties considerably with other countries. There are a lot of new roads, some are old, but nothing to be afraid of. At the end of the day we will enter Macedonia and spend the night in Skopje.
DAY 7 - 200Km
From Skopje to Niš
Niš is the third-largest city in Serbia.
It is one of the oldest cities in the Balkans and Europe, and has from ancient times been considered a gateway between the East and the West.
DAY 8 - 240Km
from Niš to Beograd
We will arrive in Belgrade, which is capital city of Serbia. As in any capital there is a lot of sightseeing and vibrant night life to check.
DAY 9 - 390Km
From Beograd to Zagreb
After leaving Belgrade we will cross the border to Croatia. Drive trough Slavonia will take us to another capital city - Zagreb. Again there is a lot of sightseeing and night life to check.
DAY 10 - 140Km
from Zagreb to Ljubljana
On the last day we will cross the border to Slovenia and at the end of our journey arrive in jet another capital - Ljubljana, where we can do some sightseeing, depending of your time.
